Craig Fields
Senior Pastor

Craig Fields became the Pastor of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in November of 1994. Craig was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. He spent fifteen (15) years in business working for Good Year Tire and Rubber Company, General Tire and the Pepsi Cola Company in Illinois as a distribution manager. After being called into the ministry, Craig moved to Wake Forest, North Carolina, and attended Southeastern Baptist Seminary. Craig's first pastorate was in Hillsborough, N.C., where he served from February 1990-1994.

Craig and Annette were married in June of 1974. They have three sons. Annette works full-time at the Christian Radio station KADI as a business manager and has been there since May of 1995. Their oldest son David and his wife Tammy live in Springfield where David is a CPA for BKD. Their second son Doug and his wife Becca also live in Springfield where Doug is a High School history teacher and Becca works for the Missouri Department of Aging. Their third son Brandon and his wife Alyse are currently out of town continuing their education.  Brandon is planning to go into the ministry.  Contact Pastor Craig Fields by email

Jonathan House
Associate Pastor / Minister of Worship

Jonathan joined the staff at JABC in December of 2000. Jonathan is a native of Springfield and currently lives in Ozark with his wife and five children. He is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Church Music and Youth Development. In 2003 he completed a Master's degree in Pastoral Ministry and is currently working on a doctorate in Christian Philosophy and Apologetics at Trinity Theological Seminary.  Jonathan accepted a call from the Lord into full-time Christian service in July of 1996 and entered vocational ministry in January 1997. Before coming to JABC he has served as a Youth Minister, Children’s Minister, and Music Minister as well as teaching for 4 years at OTC.  He is married to Stephanie who serves as family manager and caregiver to him and their children - David, Alicia, Michaela, Benjamin, and Isabella. Stephanie is on staff as Nursery Director and owns Angel Wings Boutique.  Jonathan’s hobbies include weight lifting, woodworking, reading scholarly journals and church history, and watching select science fiction TV shows.   The House family’s desire is to serve the Lord and His people according to His calling, wherever that may lead.   Contact Jonathan House by email.

Gary Miller
Student Minister

Gary has been on staff since April of 2006. He accepted Christ as his savior on Aug. 5, 1990. In the spring of 1992 God put a call on his life for full-time ministry. From that time he felt that God was calling him to work with teens. He has served as a student minister for two other churches since 1999. Gary is married to Shandy and they have 4 children of their own Kayla, Madison, Brandon and Blake. They are also foster parents. Ginny Reding
Minister of Children

Ginny Reding has worked with children for most of her life. She has been a public school teacher for 30 years and has also taught on the college level. Ginny graduated from Southwest Baptist College with a degree in Education and earned her Masters Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She and her husband, Kenny have two sons, Royce and Joshua. Ginny considers serving as Children's Minister at Jefferson Avenue a blessing. She recognizes the great responsibility to get the Word of God into the hearts of our children and strives to motivate them to desire a personal relationship with Him. She wants our children, "Abba's Kids," to recognize the love of God for them personally, but she wants them to have fun doing it!
